Every public-sector job board, in one directory.
A directory of the pages where cities, counties, school districts, state agencies, and the federal government actually post their jobs, with every link rechecked on a schedule.

Checked on a schedule
Every link is revisited automatically. A page that stops answering is flagged, and one that stays dead is hidden until it is fixed.
Search where you live
By city, ZIP, or on the map. Filter by cities, counties, school districts, special districts, state, and federal.
Built with the employers
Staff with a government or school email add and manage their own listings. Everything else is reviewed before it goes live.
About Find a Gov Job!
Job boards copy listings from employers, and copies go stale. A posting that closed last week is still open on a board that scraped it. Find a Gov Job! does the opposite: it keeps a directory of the pages where governments, agencies, and schools actually post their jobs, and sends you there.
Search by city or ZIP, or on the map, and filter by cities, counties, school districts, special districts, state, and federal. Each organization lists every place it posts: its own careers page and its listings on boards like GovernmentJobs.com, EdJoin, CalCareers, and USAJOBS.
A checker revisits every listed page on a schedule, so a page that moves or dies is flagged and hidden until it is fixed. With a free account you can save links and track your applications: paste a posting and it is saved, its closing date is watched, and the resume and cover letter you sent are kept with it.

Common questions
Does Find a Gov Job! list the jobs themselves?
No. It lists the pages where each employer posts its jobs and takes you there, so what you read is the employer's own current list, not a copy that may have closed.
Which areas are covered?
It started with Orange County, California, and new states are added in batches, along with federal agencies. The home page of findagovjob.com shows the states covered today. The plan is every US state and territory, and Canada.
What does it cost?
Searching the directory is free and needs no account. Saving links and the application tracker are free with an account.
